Now you see him, now you don’t. The New Kids on the Block were performing at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York Thursday when Jonathan Knight suddenly walked off stage and did not return. No word on why Knight left, but he’s had bouts of anxiety in the past. Concertgoers said Knight “looked uncomfortable” during the show. “I noticed from the front row that Jonathan Knight seemed out of it,” said Hollywood Life’s Emily Longeretta. “While [Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, and Danny Wood] started their choreographed dances, Jonathan stood uncomfortably in the background — actually just standing and texting on his phone during the performance.” (At NKOTB’s CD release show at the Orpheum last weekend, all seemed normal with Knight.) In New York, According to Billboard.com, his bandmates tried to make Knight “more at ease,” wrapping their arms around him, but when his brother, Jordan, announced that Knight would sing the next song, “Jonathan laughed, attempted to sing and then stopped. He made his way off the stage.” After the show, Knight responded with a two-word tweet: “I’m sorry. . .”
