First lady Diane Patrick among MCLA honorees

Like many institutions around the state, the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams had its commencement over the weekend. Professionals who earned honorary degrees during the celebration included first lady Diane Patrick; retiring Bennington College president Elizabeth Coleman; John “Jack” Downing, who runs Soldier On, an organization that helps veterans; and Mardi Crane-Godreau, assistant professor of microbiology and immunology at Dartmouth. Patrick was the day’s keynote speaker.
