If you’re looking to have a cinematic day of shopping, you can travel to the main drag in Shelburne Falls, where stores will be open on Friday despite filming of “The Judge,” a new movie starring Robert Downey Jr. Retailers tell us they expect it to be business as usual despite the fact that David Dobkin (who also directed “Wedding Crashers”) will reportedly start shooting outside in the area that day. Laura Roberson, owner of local shop Wandering Moon, told us, “I intend to be open,” even though she expects the crew to stop traffic. Robertson added that even though director Jason Reitman filmed “Labor Day” starring Kate Winslet in town last year (Robertson got to be an extra in the drama), the idea of another big-budget movie in Shelburne is enough to make locals giddy. “It’s still exciting,” she admitted. Roberson said the crew of “The Judge” has been in town for a while, but she’s still waiting to see the stars of the film, who include Robert Duvall, Leighton Meester, and Vera Farmiga.
