It wasn’t his shirt Rob Gronkowski shed this weekend — it was his hair. The Patriots’ hard-partying tight end was all smiles at the Kid’s Cancer Buzz-Off at Gillette Stadium, which raised $1 million for Boston Children’s Hospital and kids fighting cancer. . . . For us at least, the highlight of Saturday’s opening of Microsoft’s new retail store at the Natick Mall was Weezer, whose members Rivers Cuomo, Brian Bell, Scott Shriner, and Patrick Wilson played a free show for an enthusiastic crowd from a stage set up outside the Verve Crowne Plaza Natick. . . . After the Huntington Theatre Company received the 2013 Regional Theatre Tony Award at Sunday’s Tony Awards, dozens of Huntington supporters and staffers celebrated at the Renaissance Times Square, including artistic director Peter DuBois and managing director Michael Maso, board chairman Carol Deane, board president Mitchell Roberts, Bryan Rafanelli, playwright Ryan Landry, and director Daniel Goldstein. . . . Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David McCullough spoke at the dedication of BC’s Stokes Hall, a $78 million humanities building on the Chestnut Hill campus. Also there was Patrick Stokes, whose principal donation enabled construction. He’s the former CEO of Anheuser-Busch.
