Despite the rain — or maybe because of it — Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries had a beach theme at its annual fund-raiser this week. Held under an enormous tent set up in the Goodwill parking lot in Roxbury, the party co-chaired and hosted by developer Paul Bernon and wife Ashley drew a few familiar faces, including Linda Pizzuti Henry, wife of Red Sox owner John Henry, Krista Ference, who’s husband is Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference, author Ben Mezrich and wife Tonya, and Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries CEO Joanne Hilferty. . . . Meanwhile, the Newbury Street League held its annual party celebrating the trendy shopping district. But this year’s shindig paid tribute to victims of the Boston Marathon bombings with half of the proceeds shared by the “Celeste and Sydney Fund” and a fund set up for the staff at Forum restaurant, the only Boylston Street business still closed because of the events of April 15. Among those making the scene were designer Lori Kyler Christensen, Patriots defensive back Devin McCourty, and Newbury Street League executive director Michele Messino. . . . Also raising money for victims are Flo Rida and Boston native Marc Mysterio, whose just-released single “Booty on the Floor” is a benefit for The One Fund. The song was endorsed this week by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who urged his fans to “be charitable . . . and then dance by putting your booty on the floor.”
