Singer-turned-fashion-mogul Jessica Simpson gave birth to her second child on Sunday. She and her Needham-bred fiance, Eric Johnson, named their son Ace Knute, according to a Simpson rep who spoke to the press. The couple already has a 14-month-old daughter, Maxwell. We have no idea where the name Knute comes from, but considering Johnson played in the NFL (and for Yale), it’s possible that he was inspired by legendary Notre Dame player and coach Knute Rockne.
