Rob Lowe talks about playing JFK

Actor Rob Lowe was in Beverly Hills on Wednesday to promote “Killing Kennedy,” a National Geographic movie featuring Lowe as John F. Kennedy opposite Boston University grad Ginnifer Goodwin, who plays Jackie. Lowe was all smiles at the Television Critics Association event with costars Michelle Trachtenberg, who plays Marina Oswald, and Will Rothhaar, who plays Lee Harvey Oswald. Deadline.com reports that Lowe addressed the fact that the movie is based on a book by Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly. Lowe said that even though he doesn’t share O’Reilly’s political agenda, they have a shared devotion to Kennedy’s memory. “Killing Kennedy” will air this fall. . . . In other TV movie news, HBO has announced that Larry David’s local project, “Clear History,” will air on Aug. 10. David, who made the movie on the North Shore, was expected to address the Critics Association about the comedy project Thursday evening.
