Sandra Bullock has concerns about a ‘Heat’ sequel
The Boston movie “The Heat” has made more than $130 million at the box office, and its screenwriter, Katie Dippold, has said she’s already working on a sequel. We figured that when it came to “The Heat 2” in Boston, it was just a matter of when. But apparently Sandra Bullock isn’t convinced that another “Heat” is a good idea. The actress told Entertainment Weekly, “I know they say never say never, but right now, I can’t imagine it. I don’t want to ruin what Melissa [McCarthy] and I had. If a miracle happens where [a script] shows up that really and truly outdid the first and provided an experience that was better than the first one, then I would look at it. But I’m not there.” The comedy, which filmed around town last summer, featured a bunch of locally bred actors — including Joey McIntyre and Jessica Chaffin.
