It was a good night for local folks at Saturday’s Television Critics Association Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. Burlington’s Amy Poehler and the rest of her “Parks and Recreation” crew received (along with “The Big Bang Theory”) the Outstanding Achievement in Comedy prize. Earlier in the evening, “Bunheads” star Kaitlyn Jenkins pirouetted onstage to accept an award, and Poehler got laughs by busting out a few pirouettes of her own. Newton’s Louis C.K. won the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Comedy prize, and in his hilarious acceptance speech, he dissed the trophy, calling it a “a plastic piece of [expletive]” that he could use to display the drink specials when he opens a diner. He was kidding, of course.
