When Justin Timberlake’s tour bus rolled into Boston on Friday, the sky was dark and the city, drenched. But to saxophonist and Massachusetts native Leon Silva Jr., 32, it looked glorious.
“We’d just played a show in Baltimore, and the crowd was great, but I could not stop thinking about coming home,” said Silva, a Berklee alum, who’ll hit the stage with Timberlake for a second show Sunday night at Fenway, alongside Jay Z.
Silva isn’t the only local on the Legends of the Summer Tour.
—Silva’s buddy since 6th grade and another Berklee guy—plays trombone, flute, and tuba for Timberlake. (Another pal on the tour, trumpeter Sean Erick,
doesn’t hail from the Hub but also went to Berklee.)
