Cameron Diaz scouting North Shore for movie location?

A spokeswoman for Gordon College, a small Christian school in Wenham, told the Salem News last week that a movie scout was expected to visit to see if the campus quad might be a good spot for filming a future Cameron Diaz film. If it’s true, it would be one more Hollywood feather in the North Shore’s increasingly crowded cap. Denzel Washington recently finished filming on the North Shore for his action movie, “The Equalizer,” and HBO is planning to film its four-hour miniseries “Olive Kitteridge” around the Beverly area this fall. That project, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book by Elizabeth Strout, will feature Frances McDormand and Richard Jenkins.
