Justin Timberlake and Jay Z, who performed together at Fenway Park on Saturday and Sunday, owned the weekend in Boston. Celebs at the duo’s Saturday-night gig included Tom Brady and Patriots teammates Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski; actor Robert Downey Jr. (who’s in town filming “The Judge”); Bruin Tuukka Rask; Celtic Jeff Green; and NBA stars Kevin Durant and Chris Paul. Sunday’s gig brought out supporters of Theo and Paul Epstein’s Hot Stove Cool Music charity for children. The organization’s pre-party on the right-field roof deck had a guest list that included former Globie Jackie MacMullan, Hot Stove Cool Music presenter Peter Gammons, and New England Revolution goalie Matt Reis and wife Nicole
. Revelers enjoyed a black-and-white photo booth with hats, bow ties, and canes inspired by Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” video. Timberlake was spotted over the weekend dining at the Bristol Lounge at the Four Seasons with his wife (and former Tufts student), Jessica Biel. The actress, who was also seen at Mistral, tweeted on Saturday, “So good to be in Boston again with my girls from Tufts. Fenway is the coolest. Boston strong.” Later, the couple partied at Bambara at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge with Timberlake’s mother,
Lynn Harless, and his touring crew. We hear he bought 100 shots of Jack Daniels for the group. Jay Z, meanwhile, was spotted late Saturday night at Bijou Nightclub with Durant and Paul. The Timberlake-Jay Z celebrations started in Boston on Friday night when local Justin and Jay cover bands The Timberfakes and Hard Knock Live played a show at the Hard Rock Cafe. The bands had hoped one of their idols would show up to the gig, but it didn’t happen. Still, they had fun
and kept the crowd dancing until about 1 a.m.
