Stephen Sondheim accepts honor in New Hampshire

Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim (right) was in Peterborough, N.H., over the weekend to accept the Edward MacDowell Medal, an annual award presented by the MacDowell Colony to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the arts. (Past winners include Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keefe, and Joan Didion.)
