The Brooke Jackman Foundation hosted its fourth annual read-a-thon for kids at the Barnes & Noble Tribeca in Manhattan on Saturday. Celebrity readers included Jamaica Plain native Julia Jones, best known for playing a female werewolf in the “Twilight” movies. Brooke Jackman died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. She had plans to leave her job as an assistant bond trader and go back to school for social work to help kids. Jones’s next project is “The Tao of Surfing” with Lou Diamond Phillips.
