Designer Nanette Lepore was at her Newbury Street store this week showing off some of her fall fashions. Here’s one revelation: Lepore, who co-hosted the event with Boston.com’s Rachel Razcka, thinks Boston is a fashionable city. “I love Boston fashion,” she said. “You’ve got such a cultural mix here...because there are so many universities. It’s a very chic group. And yet you sort of have this relaxed student vibe and the high-end, kind of...the women walking down the street in their Balmain. And you’re like, ‘Oh my god, they have that here, too!’”
