Laugh Boston, a 300-seat comedy club in the Seaport District, had its official opening over the weekend. Partner John Tobin, of Nick’s Comedy Stop, who runs the place with Chet Harding and Norm Laviolette of Improv Asylum, was all grins backstage as Mayor Tom Menino got the crowd giggling. Also there during the weekend celebrations were former Patriot Eric Alexander, HGTV’s Taniya Nayak, Watertown Police Chief Ed Deveau, director-comedian Bobcat Goldthwait, Carlos Arredondo , who helped Jeff Bauman during the Marathon bombings, and West Roxbury’s Tom McIntyre, who happens to be the brother of New Kid on the Block Joey McIntyre.
