A ‘Forger’ club scene and a new movie in Norwell

It seems that casting directors working with the John Travolta movie “The Forger” are using Facebook to find Boston-area extras for a soon-to-be-shot club scene. At Facebook.com/ForgerExtras, you’ll find a casting call for non-union, 18-plus actors who are available to shoot on Monday. According to the post, the extras won’t be paid, but they’ll have an opportunity to win an iPad, Justin Timberlake tickets, or a gift certificate to (drum roll, please) the Cheesecake Factory. . . . In other local movie news, Massachusetts independent filmmaker Arthur Luhn tells us that he’s started production on a new film that will be shot at the Village Gardens in Norwell. The movie is called “Five O’Clock Comes Early,” and it stars Weronika Rosati (HBO’s “Luck”), Spencer Locke (“Cougar Town”), and Wellesley’s own Jay Harrington, of “Better Off Ted.” Luhn’s last film, the locally shot “The House Across the Street,” starring Eric Roberts, screens as part of the Northampton International Film Festival on Saturday.
