Actors Andy Garcia, Brian Geraghty (Agent Knox on “Boardwalk Empire”), and Robert Kazinsky (“Pacific Rim”) are on the roster to appear at the Revere Hotel’s Theatre 1 during the 29th annual Boston Film Festival. The event — not to be confused with the Independent Film Festival Boston (that’s in the spring) — runs from Oct. 25-27. Garcia will open the festival with a screening of his film “At Middleton,” which costars Vera Farmiga (“The Departed”). Festival executive director Robin Dawson tells us that there are two local films in the lineup: “George of the Center,” a documentary about politics in Billerica, and “Siren,” filmed in Millis, about a woman whose curse is that every man falls in love with her. “Siren” features Kazinsky and stars Vinessa Shaw (“Side Effects”). Festival tickets go on sale Monday.
