Elln Hagney, executive director of the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation, confirmed her resignation via e-mail Thursday. “As many of you know, for years I planned to leave New England in pursuit of a warmer climate once my daughter, Thomasa, graduated high school,” she said. Hagney said she’ll leave the job on Oct. 31 and move to Sarasota, Fla., in November. “While it saddens me to be leaving CRMI, if only I could move the Museum to a warmer climate. I know that the Management Committee has been working hard to find an excellent replacement,” she said. Hagney has been director of the museum for five years.
