Christy Turlington Burns highlights health with Harvard
Bill Brett for The Boston Globe
Model and health activist Christy Turlington Burns — who founded the organization Every Mother Counts — attended the Harvard School of Public Health’s Centennial Celebration and Campaign Launch Gala at the Revere Hotel on Thursday. Turlington Burns, who’s been an adviser to the Harvard Medical School Global Health Council, also served on the gala committee. The next day’s Centennial Leadership Summit included talks about global health care, private-sector health care, and promoting healthy communities. Turlington Burns wrote a piece on her summit experiences (including her time with Partners in Health cofounder Paul Farmer and Next Generation Award recipient Chelsea Clinton) and posted it on her Every Mother Counts website on Friday.
