Fidelity’s Peter Lynch and his wife, Carolyn, celebrated the 25th anniversary of the family’s foundation with a well-attended party at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in South Boston. The foundation’s philanthropy has generated over $100 million for public and parochial schools in Boston. . . . First lady Michelle Obama will announce the annual National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards Friday, and we have it on good authority that two local groups are among the 12 winners. Word is David Howse, Boston Children’s Chorus executive director, and singer Amber Rodriguez of Chelsea will accept on behalf of the BCC. Art Reach, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum’s after-school youth program, will also be honored, with PAAM’s curator of education Lynn Stanley and Art Reach student Lukas Hernandez, 16, accepting the award.
