Boston Calling to add another day of music
Organizers of Boston Calling, the fledgling music festival held at City Hall Plaza, are adding a new wrinkle to its next installment, which takes place on Memorial Day weekend May 23, 24, and 25. In addition to Saturday and Sunday lineups, there will be music on Friday night as well, says festival cofounder Brian Appel of Crash Line Productions. He said a limited number of 3-day festival passes will be available during a special holiday presale on Friday. The list of bands performing at the next Boston Calling will not be announced for several weeks. Past performers have included Fun., the National, Passion Pit, Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, and Of Monsters and Men.
