No lap dancing at Joe Manganiello’s book signing

Talk about a bait and switch. In his blurb for beefcake actor Joe Manganiello’s new fitness book, Channing Tatum promises that each purchase comes with a lap dance. (The two played male strippers in director Steven Soderbergh’s movie “Magic Mike.”) But fans who showed up at Manganiello’s book signing Tuesday at the Harvard Coop were disappointed to discover that Tatum was just kidding. The book, “Evolution: The Cutting Edge Guide to Breaking Down Mental Walls and Building the Body You’ve Always Wanted,” is a how-to for anyone wanting to look like Alcide Herveaux, the hot-bodied werewolf Manganiello plays on the HBO series “True Blood.”
