Imagine magazine — which covers film, TV, and media production in New England — hosted its New Year’s Celebration & “Imaginnaire” Awards Gala at the Providence Biltmore on Tuesday night. The gala honorees included Redtree Productions executive producer Margie Sullivan; Vermont writer-producer Jay Craven; actress Erica Derrickson, who founded Hollywood East Actors Group (and played a prostitute in the Boston movie “The Heat”); Verdi/Woodhaven Production Co. president Chad Verdi; and Diane Pearlman, executive director at Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative. Guests included Providence actor Billy “V” Vigeant, who just played an FBI man in “American Hustle”; Steven Feinberg, executive director of the RI Film and Television Office; and director John Stimpson, best known for TV movies such as “Sins of the Preacher” and “Sexting in Suburbia.”
