Dennis Lehane story headed to the big screen
Another work by Dennis Lehane is bound for the big screen. “The Consumers,” which Lehane wrote for the 2012 short story compilation “The Mystery Writers of America Present: VENGEANCE,” edited by Lee Child, has just been optioned. Lehane’s “Mystic River,” “Gone Baby Gone,” and “Shutter Island” have been turned into movies, and next up will be “Live by Night,” which Ben Affleck is directing. . . . And a shout-out to onetime Boston Globe sportswriter
Nell Scovell, who is adapting “Lean In,” the book she wrote with Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg, for the big screen.
