The Bruins honored the memory of Sam Berns at the team’s Casino Night benefiting the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Progeria Research Foundation. Berns is the late Foxborough High School junior whose life with the illness progeria is the subject of the documentary film “Life According to Sam.” (Sam died last month at the age of 17.) Taking a break from blackjack, the team played a video tribute to Sam, and the boy’s father, Scott Berns, and his aunt, Audrey Gordon, spoke to the players.
