William Spitzer, vice president for programs, exhibits, and planning at the New England Aquarium, was among those honored by the White House Tuesday as a “Champion of Change” for their work on environmental stewardship and community involvement. Other locals on the list: Carol Leone, founder and director of Teens to Trails in Edgecomb, Maine; and Pam Hess, director of Youth Engagement and Outdoors Rx Program for the Appalachian Mountain Club.
