Statement of Senator John Kerry on Cardinal Law’s resignation:

"This has been an enormously difficult period for all the faithful and especially for victims of abuse who endured indescribable suffering. While obviously a difficult decision for his Eminence, I believe this is the right decision to begin a healing process in the Church long overdue."
