DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — University of New Hampshire police say they’re stepping up patrols after a student says two men attacked him and tried to steal his backpack.

UNH police said the student reported that he was attacked from behind at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in Parking Lot C by two men who threw him to the ground and tried to take the backpack.

The man suffered minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.end of story marker
