PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — More than 3,500 students from 66 schools throughout Rhode Island will be heading to Providence to perform a series of holiday concerts at the Statehouse.
Students from Lawn Middle School in Jamestown, Hope Elementary School in Scituate and the Community College of Rhode Island campus in Warwick are scheduled to kick off the monthlong run of free concerts on Nov. 27. The shows will continue through Dec. 21.
Randall Rosenbaum, executive director of the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, says this year’s concert series is the largest to date and will feature holiday-themed music.
