BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The University of Vermont’s Williams Hall that was closed after a small fire last week is due to reopen.

No injuries were reported in the fire that started in a second-floor custodial closet about 9:30 a.m. Friday.

The building’s sprinkler system kept the fire under control.

UVM officials say there was some smoke damage on the second floor and water damage on the first.

There’s no word on what caused the fire.
