KEENE, N.H. (AP) — College commencement season is getting under way in New Hampshire.
Rivier University in Nashua is celebrating its first commencement ceremony since becoming a university on Saturday. The ceremony, being held in Lowell, Mass., will highlight the university’s global connections and its home in Nashua, with honorary degrees going to an international scholar, the mayor of Nashua and the chairman of the Rivier Board of Trustees.
Keene State College also is holding its commencement ceremony on Saturday. The commencement address will be given by U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, who will speak about the vital role of education in helping young people achieve their goals.
