Like coal miners emerging into the light, the Model T drivers pulled into Seattle with their faces blackened by grime, their car pockmarked and dusty after 4,106 miles across an unpaved and unforgiving continent. Thousands packed downtown, cheering them to the finish. (Full article: 1421 words)
