Competition aims to teach marketing
Can Nascar, wildly popular in the South and other regions, catch on in New England? That’s the challenge for sport management students at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, one of two New England schools participating in an Nascar-sponsored competition that aims to teach marketing, promotion, and other business skills while boosting the car racing circuit’s brand. So far, UMass is running third among the 19 universities participating with the winner to be announced Friday
