Suffolk search for president is narrowed to 2 candidates
Suffolk University has narrowed its presidential search from over 100 candidates to two - James McCarthy, provost of Baruch College, and Robert Newman, a dean at the University of Utah - but it has also asked trustees to put forth new candidates. It could still extend the search and keep its interim president at the helm. Two prior leading candidates dropped out of the search. The school is at a critical juncture after a decade of expansion and the abrupt resignation of its longtime leader.
