DURHAM, N.H.—The University of Massachusetts-Lowell had its first win on New Hampshire's home ice since November 2003 as the River Hawks skated past the Wildcats 5-3.

Saturday night's Hockey East game also snapped a six-game home win streak for the Wildcats, who drop to 6-8-2 overall and 4-6-1 in Hockey East play.

The River Hawks improved to 9-4-0 on the season and 6-3-0 in the league.

Senior Matt Di Girolamo recorded 27 saves in net for the Wildcats, while Doug Carr stopped 45 shots in between the pipes for the River Hawks.

The Wildcats return to action Thursday when they play host to Boston University.
