New school fees imposed

NORTON-- School transportation and sports this year will cost parents money for the first time.

According to the superintendent's office, all students in grades 7-12, as well as elementary students who live closer than 2 miles to their school, must pay $200 to ride the bus.

The maximum transportation fee for a family is $400 .

Students will also be charged $100 per season for sports, with a maximum of $250 for the year, and $450 per family, according to the superintendent's office.

High school students will also pay $50 to park their cars at school.
