CHARLES TOWN, W.Va.—Charles Town Races & Slots has two new endorsements in its campaign to put table games in the Eastern Panhandle casino.

A Web site run by Penn National Gaming Inc., the Pennsylvania-based parent company, says both the Jefferson County school board and the Jefferson County Schools Education Foundation are on board.

General Manager Al Britton says table games will generate nearly $4 million a year for the school district.

The board resolution passed Monday says that will help fund building renovations, improvements to play areas and other recreational opportunities.

The board says if voters approve table games Dec. 5, it will develop a comprehensive plan including a salary supplement for full-time employees.

Early voting begins Nov. 13.
