Ex-Stoughton High student files harassment suit
STOUGHTON, Mass.—A former Stoughton High School student has sued the town and school officials, including the former principal, alleging they did nothing to stop the harassment she endured after sending nude photos to a classmate.
The now 18-year-old college student, not identified in court papers, says in the suit when she was a 14-year-old freshman she started dating a 17-year-old junior who persuaded her to send him nude cellphone pictures of herself.
She alleges in the suit filed in Norfolk Superior Court the boy distributed the photos to other students, who subjected her to ridicule and name-calling.
The suit alleges the former principal did not stop the harassment because the boy -- identified only as R.J. -- was related to her.
The suit seeks unspecified damages.
Town officials had no comment.
