HARTFORD, Conn.—Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will be continuing his state tour on education in Bridgeport to promote his overhaul proposals.

Malloy will meet with parents, teachers and others during an hour-long town hall-style meeting Wednesday night at Central High School in Bridgeport.

This session the Democratic governor is pushing an education reform package that includes expanding access to early childhood education, changing teacher tenure and closing the state's achievement gap.

The bill, which was modified in committee, is still being discussed by lawmakers and the governor's administration in closed-door meetings at the state Capitol.

Large crowds have turned out to discuss the governor's proposals and their effects at previous meetings. It's the governor's 12th stop on a statewide tour promoting his education proposals
