About a quarter of Massachusetts high school students who took state MCAS exams in biology, chemistry, physics, and technology and engineering in the spring of 2007 flunked the tests. Beginning with the class of 2010 (students currently in 10th grade), students must pass at least one of the four science tests in order to get their diplomas. Below are 12 sample questions taken from the test. Answers are at the bottom of this page.
