Massachusetts average salaries for teachers
Here is a list of the top and bottom five average teacher salaries in Massachusetts, from 1994 to 2004. The state Department of Education calculates the averages from the financial reports that school systems file each year. In 1994, the averages are based on salaries from the general operating budget. Starting last year, salaries also included federal and state grants. Average pay can vary depending upon the length of teacher service and the terms of teacher contracts.
