Jurors in the trial of Marko Boskic, a Bosnian immigrant and accused war criminal living as a construction worker in Peabody, today viewed satellite images of buses, trucks, and bodies left in the aftermath of the infamous 1995 massacre of more than 1,000 Muslims during the Bosnian war.
Boskic is being tried in US District Court in Boston. If convicted, he could face prison and deportation.
Jurors today also viewed a video of Boskic clapping while wearing his uniform at a celebration ceremony of the 10th Sabotage Detachment, three months after the unit participated in the brutal slayings.
Investigators told jurors Boskic admitted he was a member of the insurgent military group yesterday as prosecutors continued to build their case against the defendent who was charged in 2004 with five counts of lying to federal officials and concealing his role in the killings of some 1,200 Muslim men and boys on US immigration documents.
