By Stephanie M. Peters, Globe correspondent
A 28-year-old Taunton man was killed and a passenger was injured yesterday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Route 25 West near Exit 1 in Wareham, State Police said.
The driver of the 1999 Mercury Sable station wagon was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle swerved into the median, struck a guardrail, and rolled over back onto the highway, coming to rest on its roof around 4:20 p.m. His passenger, a 24-year-old woman from Norwood, was transported to Tobey Hospital in Wareham with minor injuries. State Police had not identified either by this morning.
The wreck closed Route 25 West for about 2 1/2 hours, rerouting traffic at Exit 1.
