Bedroom fire kills a man in Braintree

A two-alarm fire ripped through a bedroom in Braintree early this morning and killed a man.

Fire officials said they answered a 911 call at 4:02 a.m. about a small fire at 242 Hayward St. Rescuers sounded the second alarm three minutes later.

Fire fighters quickly extinguished the flames and limited damage to the home.

Officials have not identified the victim. Investigators are on scene trying to determine a cause.
