FBI says flights were not headed to Boston

Kenneth Kaiser, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Boston office, said reports that the alleged terrorists had targeted flights to Boston and other cities were "erroneous.''
"The information I have is that they were targeting planes with US destinations and it was unclear which destinations they were targeting,'' Kaiser said Friday.
He said the terrorists were targeting United, American, Contintental and British Airways. "They didn't have a specific city in mind. They were in the pre-planning stages. They were going to try to do dry runs and things like that. They had not got there yet,'' he said.
He said the probe is an ongoing investigation in the UK and British authorities may develop more information. But he has, "as of now there were no US cities identified.''
Kaiser comments came after reports by CBS and other news organizations that suggested the alleged plan targetted planes destined for Boston and other US cities.
