Four-alarm fire in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury firefighters this morning are battling a four-alarm fire at a local apartment complex that required the evacuation of 24 families, officials said.

The fire was first reported at 8:30 a.m. at 5200 Arbor Drive in the Common at Haynes Farm apartment complex. Thus far, officials said there were no reports of injuries and the fire was largely contained.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire remains unknown.
