A tanker truck loaded with sewage jackknifed on southbound Route 24 in Brockton this afternoon, shutting down the roadway and snarling traffic for miles.

The truck flipped near exit 15 at Route 104 and closed the road from Exit 14 to Exit 12, according to State Police Lieutenant Eric Anderson.

The crash remains under investigation and it is not clear when the road will reopen.
