Man escapes injury after jumping or falling from T train
By Mac Daniel, Globe Staff
An allegedly intoxicated Marlborough man escaped injury last night after either jumping or accidentally falling out of an MBTA commuter rail train as it was leaving Southborough station.
Kevin Sullivan, 56, was found around 11 p.m. after a passenger told a conductor on the Worcester-bound train that a man had just opened the door and jumped out of the train.
The man was found about 600 yards west of Southborough station and either jumped or fell from the train as it was traveling 15 to 20 miles per hour, T officials said.
The conductor notified the engineers, who brought train to an immediate stop. The train crew found the man on the side of the railroad tracks and brought him back into the train before going back to Southborough station. Sullivan, who was alert at the time, was then transferred to an ambulance, officials said.
No charges were filed against Sullivan by either Southborough or MBTA Transit Police.
