New Hampshire soldier dies in Iraq
The Department of Defense announced this morning that a New Hampshire soldier died from a “non-combat related cause” on Monday in Iraq.
Spc. Matthew E. Schneider, 23, of Gorham, N.H., died on Aug. 28 in Ar Ramadi, or Ramadi, about 70 miles west of Baghdad in Iraq. Schneider fought with the 141st Signal Battalion, 1st Armored Division out of Wiesbaden, Germany.
The military did not describe how Schneider died but said the incident was under investigation.
